Pat began writing the original manuscript as a biography but it ended up as a history book depicting 110 years of the lives of her people. Since it was first published, Sunrise Station has been sold to every Correctional Institution in NSW and it is now approved for use as a curriculum text book in Aboriginal studies in schools and universities and is used as a reference book in many state and federal departments as part of their Aboriginal cultural awareness programs. The talk and question time will be followed by afternoon tea. |
